Dairy Barn - Your Local, Unresponsive Corporate Neighbor
If you don't like Dairy Barn's usage of plastic bags, write to them.
Dairy Barn has about 46 stores throughout the Island, from Northport to Oceanside; Farmingdale to New Hyde Park. Now imagine the number of customers they have day in and day out, seven days a week, 300+ days a year. Now think about the quantity of plastic bags they dole out in that same time frame.
Months ago I suggested they move away from plastic bags and offer either paper or even re-usable bags, similar to those at the grocery stores. Their [indirect] response was to convert from the use of milk cartons to plastic jugs.
What a waste of resources and opportunities [to be a concientious corporate neighbor.]
