Response from the Town re: Roslyn Country Club

I had to share this with everyone because of the absurdity of it. A community member telephoned 311 to file her objection to the Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman purchasing the Roslyn Country Club. She told me that they wouldn't take her information or log her objection because it had to be done via email only. There are thousands of people who don't have access to email and probably won't in their lifetime...does that mean they are not entitled to register their objections to something that will ultimately cost them money? She called Lee Seeman's office and was told the same thing...the aide wasn't interested in taking her information or even knowing her name. Oh yes, a letter won't do either according to 311. Amazing.
