Update: Arrest Made in New Hyde Park Bank Robbery Case
A man robbed a New Hyde Park Citibank Thursday; his description matches the person who robbed a Citibank in Garden City Park earlier that day.
Update: Christopher Cialone, 27, of New Hyde Park, was arrested in connection with the bank robbery in New Hyde Park, according to a Third Precinct police report.
Cialone is being charged with robbery in the third degree, attempted robbery in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree, which is from a previous warrant, the report said.
The Robbery Squad with the help of New York State Police Troop T arrested Cialone in Suffern, New York, the report said. He will be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.

police were trying to track down a man who robbed a bank in New Hyde Park who also fits the description of the person who robbed a bank that same day in Garden City Park, according to a report.
A man described as White, about 5' 8" tall, medium build, in his late 20s or early 30s who was wearing a dark-colored skull cap and dark clothing went into the at 1524 Union Turnpike at about 5:03 p.m. on Thursday and gave the bank teller a note asking for money, the report said. After getting an unknown amount of money, he left.

This person matches the description and committed the robbery in a similar way at the Citibank at 2301 Jericho Turnpike in Garden City Park at 4:40 p.m., the report noted. There were no injuries reported in either of these robberies.
