Five Guys has arrived. The award-winning hamburger chain opened up a brand new restaurant in New Hyde Park a little more than a week ago.
The line was often out the door during the first weekend, as crowds packed the restaurant, enjoying Five Guys’ delicious hamburgers and French fries. Residents appeared to be very impressed with the restaurant.
“They gave an obscene amount of fries!” proclaimed local Alex Zelinski.

Five Guys has been rated on the ZAGAT survey every year since 2001.
“There are no other burgers like them,” said resident Courtney Scarpati. “It’s fast food done right and I’m happy it’s now conveniently located near me.”

Five Guys now has over 750 locations nationwide, although the previous closest location was in Queens. Residents of New Hyde Park and surrounding areas now have the opportunity to visit the restaurant.
“I can’t wait to go,” said local college student Josh May. “The food is amazing!”
Five Guys is located on 2341 Jericho Turnpike, right off of Nassau Boulevard, and is open every day from 11am-10 pm.
