UPDATED: Masked Man Robs NHP Bank at Gunpoint

The robbery occurred Thursday morning, police said.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY - Police are looking to identify the masked man who robbed a New Hyde Park bank at gunpoint Thursday morning.

According to authorities, the man entered TD Bank, located at 110 Hillside Ave., and verbally demanded money while displaying a silver handgun at 9:12 a.m.

The man left the bank with an undetermined amount of cash and fled on foot south on North 2nd Avenue.

Five employees and six customers were inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.

Police described the robber as in his twenties, and wearing a dark grey hooded nylon jacket, a ski mask and black gloves.

Detectives request anyone with information regarding this crime to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
