Nightlife at Two Steak and Sushi Den
Two incorporates many elements to create a unique gathering experience.
There are lots of reasons that Angela decided to come to for the first time on Wednesday.
“It’s an upscale crowd, it’s an older crowd," she said. "It’s away from the city, but it has a city atmosphere, but it’s local, closer to Queens and Long Island. It feels homie”
Angela’s a former bartender at Hogs and Heifers and inventor of the Washington Apple Martini made with Crown Royal or Jack Daniels, Sour Apple Pucker and cranberry juice.

Two Steak offers its clientele a place to gather; a place where they can have a great meal, listen to music, socialize and enjoy a few drinks. Walking in and seeing the place, one can tell that each of those components has been carefully considered in order to make every visit an experience.
The basic concept of Two is taking the venerable steak house and the exotic sushi bar and forming a union, instead of say having a steakhouse that serves sushi as an after thought.

“Not only in design but in name right down through the menu, Two represents the dramatic convergence of to culinary cultures, where we pay each equal homage to steak and sushi” said Promotions Manager Anthony Gentile.
Owner Jay Grossman said the chef is very ingredient-driven and uses, for example, grass-fed beef which results in a tastier cut of steak.
Two occupies 21,000 square feet on two levels. The main level houses the café, sushi and yakitori den, formal dining room, lounge and also features three private dining suites with a 12 to 30 people seat capacity. The lower level has a banquet area and complete bar. The entire structure is connected to a state-of-the-art audio and visual system.
The patrons seemed were upwardly mobile and relaxed. Missing was the pea-cocking and preening that you usually get with the nightlife scene on Long Island. This was a fun and mature crowd. The DJ was spinning a mix a Top 40 hits, Electronica and older dance classics.
The dining area and sushi den were busy with guests having late night dinners and getting together with friends.
Santo D’Agostino came to Two with a bevy of friends to celebrate his fortieth birthday. “
We’re having a good time” he said.
D'Agostino said he’s eaten here before and thought the food was amazing.
The best night to go is Friday night, which is busy without feeling like it is crowded. The design of the place allows its guest to choose between all the space inside, whether it be the lounge or dining area.
Two, like its sister restaurant Four in Melville, deserves its place in the pantheon of great nightlife destinations. Two has the look, feel and energy of any well-heeled New York City place, minus the pretense. It is the right place for a meeting with friends or co-workers, a date night or if you need to dance.
