Parking On Leonard Boulevard To Be Reviewed
After questions were raised, Councilman Angelo Ferrara will look into the situation.
Some questions and concerns arose from a New Hyde Park parking item on the Town of North Hempstead board agenda on Tuesday night; this issue will be further discussed and addressed at a future meeting.
Originally, the board was going to vote on an ordinance that would permit open parking on the south side of 98 Leonard Blvd. A neighbor of that property was worried about how she would be impacted as a result of this ordinance which she said featured incorrect measurements. She tried to get those corrected and after a handful of other New Hyde Park residents asked questions about this parking ordinance, Councilman Angelo Ferrara said he would talk to these people and "go block by block and figure it out."
Ferrara asked the New Hyde Park residents who had questions about this issue to get in touch with his assistant and that he would work everyone.
"There's a chance of anything," Ferrara said in response to a New Hyde Park resident who asked what the future ordinance would look like.
