Long Island Swim School

Long Island Swim School is the teaching arm of the nationally ranked Long Island Aquatic Club. Our Learn to Swim programs create strong, safe, and confident swimmers for life. With locations in Garden City and Syosset we train over 2,000 children each week at every swim level from Beginner to Olympian. Long Island Swim School offers swim lessons for children ages 2 - 14years old. The main emphasis of our programs is to teach children to swim correctly and develop essential water skills in a relaxed environment. Our goal driven and technique oriented approach is the key to your child's success. Through skill based quality teaching our students develop a joy for learning and a passion for swimming. At Long Island Swim School, we teach children to swim the same way the best in the world do. By using age-appropriate, proven techniques children build real skills in kick, pull, body position, and breath control. Our logical, consistent progression turns every fundamental—whether blowing bubbles or learning butterfly timing—into a building block for efficient, confident swimming. Our professional staff are swimmers and coaches with the knowledge to give your child the skills to achieve more than just water safety. We provide the best foundation possible for success. NEW HYDE PARK, NY- Police are looking to identify the man who robbed a New Hyde Park bank Monday afternoon.According to authorities, a man entered Valley National Bank, located at 699 Hillside Ave., approached a 41-year-old female teller and handed her a note demanding money at 4:38 p.m.The man fled on foot eastbound on Hillside Avenue with an undetermined amount of cash. No injuries were reported. Police described the robber as white, with a medium build, approximately 6-foot-1, and wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black baseball hat, a dark grey scarf across his face, back gloves, black cargo pants and black shoes.This is the second New Hyde Park bank robbery to occur in four days. <a href="https://patch.com/new-york/newhydepark/2-men-rob-new-hyde-park-bank-gunpoint">Two men robbed a Chase bank at gunpoint Thursday morning</a>.Detectives request anyone with information regarding Monday's robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
