Question of the Day: New vs. Old Parking Meters
Are they a welcome replacement or do you prefer the "classic" machines?
New multi-space municipal parking meters were recently installed in four shopper parking lots in the Port Washington Public Parking District.
Sometimes referred to as “Muni-meters” – especially in New York City – the new meters are said to offer convenience and proof of payment while also reducing maintenance costs for the parking district, according to the .
Several neighboring village have also installed similar machines in municipal lots, allowing “classic” individualized meters to remain for on-street parking spots.

Parking fees remain at the .25 cent per hour rate.
