Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D-Great Neck) is hosting three workshops in February regarding the process of property valuation. The workshops will teach residents how to file an appeal of the assessed value of their property if they disagree with their most recent assessment. The Nassau County Department of Assessment has reported a change in date for the deadline to file a grievance. Your grievance MUST BE POSTMARKED BY: Monday, March 3, 2014.
The workshops will take place at the following locations:
Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Great Neck Social Center from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. (80 Grace Ave., Great Neck);
Thursday, Feb. 20, at Great Neck House from 9 – 11 a.m. (14 Arrandale Ave., Great Neck); and
Monday, Feb. 24, at Clinton G. Martin Park from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. (1601 Marcus Ave., New Hyde Park).
