Teddy Bears on Parade at Little Sprouts
The children learned about hibernation by going through a cave to find a bear.
The children of Preschool in New Hyde Park have been learning about hibernation in January. As the culmination of this lesson, Sandy Haggerty, the program's director, lets the children have a pajama day and builds a bear cave for the children to go through.
On top of going through the cave, the children also took part in a reading of the book We're Going on a Bear Hunt. The approximately 30 children in their pajamas with their teddy bears acted out parts of the book, like splashing through the river and squishing through the mud.
Here are some photos from the children's adventure in the bear cave.
