Teen Tries to Flee Cops After Burglarizing New Hyde Park Home: Police
Officers found the 16-year-old hiding in a nearby garage Thursday morning, police say.

A 16-year-old Queens boy was arrested and charged with burglary following a foot chase with police in New Hyde Park Thursday morning, police say.
Authorities say they responded to a report of a suspicious male at a Third Street home and arrived to the location to see Mykai T. Bullock carrying an iPad at 6 a.m.

According to authorities, Bullock dropped the iPad and fled into the home’s backyard after he spotted the officers. Officers located Bullock hiding in a nearby garage following a brief chase on foot and placed him under arrest, police say.
The teen was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespassing and possession of burglar tools. He will be arraigned Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
