Ultimate Fitness Coming to New Hyde Park
The 24-hour, family-centered gym will be taking over King Kullen's former footprint.
Ultimate Fitness will be coming to New Hyde Park following approval of the gym’s site plan from the Town of North Hempstead board Tuesday night.
The gym, which Councilman Angelo Ferrara described as geared toward families, will be leasing the former King Kullen’s location next to the Dublin Pub.
The building will remain basically the same as when the grocery store occupied the location, minus that its loading area, which will become employee parking as the gym gets deliveries less frequently than the supermarket.

“This is a good use of that property,” Ferrara said.
The councilman added that the civic groups and other people he has talked to about this new tenant have had a positive response to it.

The gym will be open 24 hours a day. There is a private training area where families can go as well as an area for kids, Councilman Ferrara said.
