Week in Review: Jan. 2-8

Here are the highlights from the past week in news:

We informed you that the Blockbuster located on Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park will be closing soon. If you haven’t already, stop by for their big store-wide sale before everything in the store is out.

Similarly, Two Steak & Sushi Den shut its doors right after New Year’s Eve and will re-open in February as a casual Mexican Restaurant.

We showed you a video explaining Nassau County’s Executive Community Pass for reduced tickets for Disney on Ice. Shows went on this weekend, and hopefully you and your family were able to attend!

Four “attendants” in North Hempstead lost their title this week and either had to retire, change positions or lose their job.
