While two occupants of the house, located across from New Rochelle City Hall, were able to climb out of the structure and onto a tree, firefighters were unable to find Wood because the blaze was too intense, News 12 reported.

Fire personnel told a relative that Wood’s body was found in her bed after the fire was completely extinguished, NBC New York reported.
