2 Communities Weighing Bans on Selling Puppy Mill Dogs
Mamaroneck and Mount Pleasant have enacted similar bans.

New Rochelle and Harrison could be the next communities to ban selling dogs from puppy mills.
According to an article in the Journal News, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson and City Manager Charles Strome III were urged by residents to enact legislation similar to the one passed in February in Mamaroneck.
There is only one pet store in New Rochelle. There are none in Harrison, according to the article.

While the law enacted in Mamaroneck banned dogs from puppy mills being sold, it did allow stores to sell dogs from shelters.
