5 Arrested In Main Street Prostitution Sting In New Rochelle

A raid of the Rivage Spa led to a slew of felony and misdemeanor charges. The Building Department ordered the downtown business shuttered.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A notorious downtown massage parlor in New Rochelle has been ordered closed after police say a prostitution sting resulted in five arrests.

On Friday, New Rochelle Police Department detectives concluded a prostitution investigation into The Rivage Spa, located at 514 Main Street, where five people were arrested on various prostitution and related offenses, according to authorities. Investigators said that the business had an ongoing practice of engaging in prostitution, as well as multiple building code violations. The New Rochelle Building Department later deemed the building "unsafe for occupancy" at this time.

Sun Mi Hong, 70, of New York City, was arrested for felony promoting prostitution and felony unlicensed practice of a profession.

Cuijuan Jia, 35, of Sorrento, Louisiana was arrested for prostitution and felony unlicensed practice of a profession.

Wen Min Gong, 45, was arrested for prostitution and felony unlicensed practice of a profession.

Xiaona Hu, 47, of Flushing, was arrested for felony unlicensed practice of a profession.

Julius Celentano, 71, of the Bronx, was arrested for patronizing a prostitute.

The spa was also raided in September of last year. Two women were charged with prostitution as a result of the 2021 raid.

At the time, the spa's website described services offered, including a "full body rub and more fun!!!" The now shuttered Rivage also promised a "highly trained 1ooo% young staff"and late night hours.
