• New Rochelle Man Held on $100,000 Bail in Drug, Gun Felony Case Released After Charges Sealed (talkofthesound.com) — A New Rochelle man once held on $100,000 bail in a major local drug and weapons case has been released after his charges were sealed, according to state and county records. The case, handled in New Rochelle City Court and involving the city police department, ended without a public explanation of the disposition, raising questions about transparency in serious local prosecutions.
• Hudson Valley Man Accused Of Recording Children Inside Gym Bathroom (wpdh.com) — New Rochelle police are asking New York Athletic Club members to come forward after a hidden camera was found in certain restrooms at the club this summer. Investigators say multiple victims, including children, were recorded, and a former employee has been charged. Anyone who used the listed locker room and tennis restrooms on specific June and July dates is urged to contact Detective Marisa Bird.
• New Tap Water Data Ranks National Hardness Levels – WC&P Online (wcponline.com) — New Rochelle's tap water ranks among the softest in the nation, tied with nearby Larchmont and Mamaroneck at just 0.4 gpg of hardness. A new Tap Water Data report compared more than 16,000 U.S. cities, showing New Rochelle residents enjoy much softer water than the national median.
