
The Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) named College of New Rochelle women’s basketball center Jasmine Brandon its Student-Athlete of the Month for the month of November.
Brandon averaged a team-leading 14.2 points and 10.0 rebounds per game for the month of November. Her best scoring performance came on Nov. 18 against Albertus Magnus College with 22 points, and she closed out the month with three straight double-doubles, highlighted by a 17 point, 12 rebound outing in a 65-57 win over Yeshiva University on Nov. 29. Brandon, a Jersey City, N.J., native, has started every game this season and is second on the team in minutes played.
Brandon becomes just the second CNR Student-Athlete to receive this honor, joining Ruchelle Austin, who was recognized in December 2007 during her senior basketball season.

The Association of Division III Independents consists of nine Division III independent institutions that have joined together to recognize student-athletes at independent institutions and to provide exempted postseason championship competition in nine sports in 2012-13. The Association recognizes outstanding athletic achievements of its student-athletes on a weekly, monthly and annual basis. The Association provides statistical services for its members in seven sports.
