Annual 'Toys for Tots' Collection Drive Saturday in New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — County Legislator Jim Maisano’s annual Toys for Tots collection event will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016.

The event will take place at Dudley’s Parkview Restaurant, 94 Hudson Park Rd. in New Rochelle.

Maisano is asking people to drop off a new, unwrapped toy, gift card or check made payable to “Toys for Tots.”

The New Rochelle resident said the toys and gift cards will be distributed to children in Westchester County with the help of the Westchester Marine Corps League.

Maisano said, as a former U.S. Marine, the Toys for Tots campaign was important to him and his family.

“We take great pride in being able to lend our time to helping ensure those children in Westchester who are in a difficult situation can share in the joy of the holiday season,” he said in an email.

“Our little gathering at Dudley’s reminds us how fortunate we are to have so many friends and neighbors who are compassionate and giving,” Maisano said. “As our friends keep coming through the doors of Dudley’s for three straight hours with toys and gift cards for kids in need, we know our annual event really makes a difference.”
