Blizzard Watch, Winter Storm Watches Issued Throughout Hudson Valley

A nor'easter is forecast to come through the region early next week. BREAKING

With the likelihood of a nor’easter coming through the Hudson Valley Tuesday into Wednesday, the National Weather Service has issued blizzard watches and winter storm watches.

A Blizzard Watch is in effect for southern Westchester County from midnight Tuesday, March 14 until midnight Wednesday, March 15.

Snow accumulations of 12 to 18 inches are possible, along with strong, gusty winds.

Travel during the watch could be hazardous, and there is the potential for power outages due to moderate to heavy snow and gusty winds.

Temperatures will be in the upper 20s.

A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and northern Westchester counties from midnight Tuesday, March 14 until midnight Wednesday, March 15.

Snow accumulations of 12 to 18 inches are possible. Travel will be hazardous and there is the potential for power outages.


A Winter Storm Watch is in effect for Dutchess and eastern Ulster counties from midnight Tuesday, March 14 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15.

Forecasts call for greater than 7 inches of snow possible. Travel conditions could be dangerous.


And finally, a Winter Storm Watch is in effect for western Ulster County from midnight Tuesday, March 14 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 15.

A Wind Chill Advisory is effect from 7 p.m. Saturday, March 11 until 11 a.m. Sunday, March 12.

Low wind chill values Saturday night into Sunday morning will result in the possibility of frostbite on exposed skin.

Snow accumulations Tuesday into Wednesday could be greater than 7 inches. Travel conditions could be dangerous.
