Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle Names New CEO
BGCNR announces that the Board of Directors has named Becky Mazzanobile as CEO effective September 20th.

[New Rochelle, NY], [9/9/21] – Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) announces that the Board of Directors has named Becky Mazzanobile as the organization’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective September 20.
Mazzanobile brings 25 years of leadership experience and a passion for helping young people succeed to her position as CEO of BGCNR. A significant portion of her career has focused on ensuring that all children have access to an excellent education and supporting educators and young people in high poverty, low income, diverse communities.

Mazzanobile has held leadership positions in Fortune 500, privately held, and start-up organizations, including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, The McGraw-Hill Companies, College Board, EdisonLearning, Generation Ready, and Standard & Poor’s. She has deep expertise in catalyzing and executing strategic “future vision,” while effectively managing day-day business operations. Her skills include strategic planning and implementation, change management, transformation, and strategic marketing and communications.
With a mission-driven, entrepreneurial mindset, Mazzanobile has grown businesses and organizations through innovation and transformation, fostering a transparent people-centric culture by motivating individuals and teams to embrace change and a customer-first focus, while instilling social responsibility. She believes her personal success is exemplified through the success of others — inspiring and developing individuals, teams, and organizations to perform at the highest levels.

Mazzanobile’s focus on empowering young people extends to her volunteer work, which included teaching international marketing to high school students through Junior Achievement and participating in the Principal for A Day program, hosted by PENCIL, which strives to provide students with access to the relationships, skills, and opportunities that support their success. Mazzanobile earned her MBA from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Michigan.
As CEO, Mazzanobile will be responsible for leading the BGCNR’s strategic direction, oversee organizational operations, financials, programming, brand reputation, talent recruitment, resource development, and stakeholder relationships. The CEO also serves as the organization’s primary ambassador and lead communicator. In partnership with her leadership team, Mazzanobile will oversee the organization’s Clubs. The CEO reports to BGCNR Board of Directors led by Board President Mary Jo Jacobs.
About Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle
Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle serves youth ages 6 to 18, Monday through Friday, after school and during the summer. The BGCNR promotes the physical, mental, moral and social well-being of the boys and girls of New Rochelle and the surrounding areas by providing educational support, enrichment, and recreation to achieve such ends.
Founded in 1929 following the stock market crash, the BGCNR has served thousands of kids from all races, ethnicities and creeds in its 92 years in operation while developing engaged, successful adults and community-minded citizens. Many members have volunteered at the Club and served on the Board of Directors. The longevity of the Club is the result of hard work and dedication by our Board of Directors, staff and adult associations such as the Remington Men’s Club, Remington Women’s Auxiliary, and most notably, our volunteers. Today, the Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle serves approximately 2,500 members a year and the best is yet to come.
