On New Year’s Eve, Thursday, December 31st ring in the New Year at Empty Hand Zen Center! Enter the New Year with a clear mind and heart, together with your community. Friends and family, including children are also welcome.

The Thursday night schedule will be as follows:

Doors open at 7:40 pm.

8:00 pm to 9:30 pm – Apple cider social (non-alcoholic)

9:30 pm to 9:45 pm – Clean up/break

9:45 pm to 10:05 pm – Chanting service

10:05 pm to 10:15 pm – Kinhin (walking meditation)

10:15 pm to 10:45 pm – Zazen (sitting meditation)

(Ringing of 108 bells begins at 10:16 pm, children invited)

10:45 pm to 10:55 pm – Kinhin

10:55 pm to 11:25 pm – Zazen

11:25 pm to 11:35 pm – Kinhin

11:35 pm to 12:05 am – Zazen

12:05 am to 12:35 am – Closing (outdoors weather permitting)
