Coastal Flood Advisory Issued for Saturday for Sound Shore

The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory for southern Westchester County in effect from 11 p.m. Saturday to 3 a.m. Sunday.

The NWS said there could be tidal departures around 1/2 foot above astronomical tides.

Widespread minor coastal flooding could occur around the times of high tide between 11 p.m. Saturday and 2 a.m. Sunday.

The most vulnerable shore roads and/or properties might be impacted by minor flooding due to the height of storm tide or wave splash over.

The NWS said that the majority of roads will remain passable with only isolated closures and that there is no significant threat to life.
