Coastal Flood Warning Continues, Advisory Issued
Flooding could result in numerous road closures and cause widespread flooding of low lying property.

SOUTHERN WESTCHESTER, NY — A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for southern Westchester County from 9 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday. The National Weather Service has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory in effect from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Both the warning and the advisory apply to vulnerable areas along the western Long Island shores of Westchester County.
Tidal departures could be 2-1/2 to 3 feet above astronomical tides Saturday night and 2 to 2-1/2 feet above on Sunday.

Moderate coastal flooding is expected with the high tide Saturday night. Minor to locally moderate flooding is expected on Sunday.
Impacts could include the inundation of 2 to 3 feet above ground level Saturday night in low lying, vulnerable areas.

The NWS said this will result in numerous road closures and cause widespread flooding of low lying property including parking lots, parks, lawns and home and businesses with basements near the waterfront.
Vehicles pared in vulnerable areas near the waterfont will become flooded.
Flooding will also extend inland from the waterfront along tidally affected waterways.
