Driver Scott Zeron Wins 3,000th Career Race at Yonkers Raceway
Zeron is coming off wins at the Hambletonian and the Yonkers Trot prior to this milestone.

The young, standout harness driver Scott Zeron, best known for reining the three-year-old star Marion Marauder to victory in the Hambletonian and Yonkers Trot this summer, won his 3,000th career race on Thursday night, September 15, at Yonkers Raceway.
The milestone victory came behind the pacer Rock Absorber ($7), getting up in the final strides of the $14,000, third-race pace at Empire City Casino’s historic half-mile oval. The win was timed in 1:54.2 for the mile.
The affable 27-year-old Zeron, a native of Montreal whose career began in 2007, is approaching $49 million in career purses.

He is, of course, “enjoying the ride” with stakes-rich sophomore Marion Marauder, the early favorite in Saturday night’s Canadian Trotting Classic at Mohawk.
“I really just appreciate everyone who’s shown confidence in me,” Zeron said. “It’s amazing what Marion Marauder has done for my career. Harness people from all over the world know all about those two races (Hambletonian and Yonkers Trot), and to say that I’ve won them both is such an honor.”
