Business Women's & Minority Leadership Conference

New Rochelle resident Karenann Carty, Ed. D., Dean of Academics for Monroe College's Westchester County campus in New Rochelle, will chair the National Minority Business Council's 8th Annual Women's Business Leadership Conference, October 19th in New York City. Presenters include Colleen Galvin, assistant commissioner with New York City's Department of Small Business Services, Division of Economic and Financial Opportunity, Karina Cabrera, Director of Intergovernmental Affairs for U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, and luncheon keynote speaker Jacqueline Wales, author of "The Fearless Factor",  career coach, entrepreneur and motivational speaker.  There will also be workshops on social media, marketing, business ethics, and doing business globally.  The event begins with networking and continental breakfast, followed by remarks from Comm.
