"At Beth El Day Camp, our enthusiastic, award-winning staff works hard to develop unique, innovative, fun-filled activities that excite our young campers every day," observed Julie Rockowitz, Camp Director since 1994.

Programs span a wide range of guided activities to help young children develop new skills, make friends, build self-esteem, and develop a love for creativity and self-expression. Children participate in a multitude of sports and games including soccer, softball, and basketball. Music, dancing, karate concepts, magic, cooking and crafts are also offered, alongside our creative nature program. There are also special "Theme Days", including Penguin Day, Olympics, and the famous Carnival – all presented in age-appropriate contexts. Every Friday, campers are treated to grape juice and freshly baked challah to celebrate Shabbat.

Established in 1951, Beth El Day Camp in New Rochelle serves more than 200 young children per summer, from towns all across Westchester and Riverdale. Proudly accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), Beth El Day Camp is known for its nurturing environment, cutting edge programming, and commitment to safety.  We are especially proud of our Swim Program which is staffed by Water Safety Instructors certified by the American Red Cross, and instruction takes place in our beautiful, solar-heated outdoor pool, specifically designed to appropriately accommodate all swimming levels and abilities.

Nutritious, hot, kosher lunches, barbecues and snacks are served to extended-day and full-day campers in our air conditioned lunchroom, with food choices geared to please the young palate. Our entire camp is nut-free. Food allergy menus are managed meticulously, and we are known for our gluten-free options.

Customized half-day, extended-day, and full-day programs are available depending upon children's age groups. The 2-year-old program meets 3 mornings a week from 9am to noon. The 3-year-old program runs Monday through Friday, 8:40am to 1pm, and includes lunch. The 4-year-old group meets 5 days a week, from 8:40am to 2:15pm, with the option to stay and play on Wednesdays until 4pm. 5- and 6-year-olds enjoy a full day/week of activities, through 4pm each day. By popular demand, Beth El Day Camp has introduced an exciting new program for 7-year-olds entering 2nd grade. Projected activities include tennis, weekly trips, and instruction in the world of film.

Early Bird payment options are available right now. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible to secure enrollment, and a $500 deposit is expected at the time of registration. The camp season runs from June 25, 2012 to August 12, 2012. For more information or applications, please call 914.235.2700 or visit www.bethelnr.org/daycamp.
