The School of Arts & Sciences Women's Studies Committee presents the 2011 Dowell Lecture "Making Sense of Feminism in 2011" given by Dr. Emilie Zaslow, Assistant Professor of Communication Studies at Pace University. Dr. Zaslow is author of Feminism, Inc: Coming of Age in Girl Power Media Culture published by Palgrave Macmillan (2009) and she addresses the questions: What does contemporary feminism look like? How do we make sense of feminist images in popular media? And: Do we still need a feminist movement?
