UPDATE: 'Medical Emergency' Cause of Lockdown at New Rochelle High School, Principal Says
A statement from the principal sent to parents said the incident Thursday didn't involve violence.

UPDATE—Thursday, May 26, 2016, 4:15 p.m.: A spokeswoman for the City School District of New Rochelle sent out a statement from New Rochelle High School Principal Reginald Richardson that he had sent to parents regarding the lockdown Thursday afternoon at the school.
The statement in its entirety:
At approximately 1:05 PM, the high school was put into lockdown as a result of an incident involving three students having a medical emergency. The incident did not involve weapons or violence. No one was injured or hurt. The police and EMT’s responded. The lockdown lasted for approximately 45 minutes. Once the students involved in the incident were safely off of school grounds the lockdown was lifted.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - A fight at New Rochelle High School forced officials to put the school into lockdown Thursday.
News12.com said the emergency plans went into effect about 1 p.m. and there was no word of why there was a fight or whether there were any injuries.
