Former Library in New Rochelle Being Considered for Historic Landmark Status

The building now houses a publishing concern.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - A Main Street building in New Rochelle could be one of the city's newest historic landmarks.

The former Carnegie library, now owned by Christoper Hagedorn, has been recommended for landmark designation by the city’s Historic Landmark Review Board, according to lohud.com.

Hagedorn, who operates a publishing business from the property located at the corner of Pintard Avenue, isn’t thrilled with the prospect and feels it will make it difficult to add to or sell the building.
