Four to Receive Honors at 'Touch the Sky' Event from Kids X-Press

Kids X-Press, Inc. today announced the honorees for the annual Touch the Sky Reception to be held on Tuesday, October 28 at 42 The Restaurant in White Plains. This year’s honorees include Gina Cappelli, President and Founder of Formé Urgent Care & Wellness Center; JeanMarie Connolly, Senior Director at BNY Mellon Wealth Management; Marsha Gordon, President and CEO, The Business Council of Westchesterand Tony Sayegh, Executive Vice President, Jamestown Associates.

Founded in 2001, Kids X-Press, Inc., is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting literacy. Through its magazine and program, Kids X-Press, Inc. encourages children of all abilities and all ethnic, social and economic backgrounds to express themselves by providing them with a forum through which they can communicate to the public the world from a kid’s eye-view. Written by children and for children, the award-winning Kids X-Press magazine, is printed quarterly with an annual readership of over 170,000. Its contributors range in age from 7 to 14 and are generally enrolled in a variety of after-school activities, enrichment programs and community organizations in conjunction with schools, non-profits, and shelters.

Gina Cappelli is the Founder of Formé Rehabilitation, Inc., Formè Urgent Care and Wellness Center; a NYS licensed Article 28 D&TC and a recognized NYS Woman-Owned Business. Prior to Formé, Ms. Cappelli was a Partner at Cappelli Associates, a family-owned development company. Ms. Cappelli has become a role model for young girls by bringing an innovative concept of boutique health care to Westchester County.

JeanMarie Connolly is a Senior Director at BNY Mellon Wealth Management. As an experienced corporate leader, Ms. Connolly has gained the trust and respect of her clients through her 30 years of relationship management. She is also involved with issues that are outside her financial wealth management scope and remains active in the not-for-profit community, as well as serves on various committees for charitable organizations throughout the region that directly affect young adults. Ms. Connolly serves on the Board of Directors of Hope’s Door, a safe haven for victims of domestic violence. She works closely with the Westchester Woman’s Bar Association and is an active member of the Westchester County Bar Association. She has chaired large scale events including the Westchester/Fairfield American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women, Go Red Society, Hope’s Door and the Food Bank for Westchester.

Marsha Gordon brings more than 25 years of community, commerce and leadership experience to The Business Council of Westchester.A sought-after speaker, panelist and media expert, Ms. Gordon is widely considered the authority on the business climate in Westchester and has spoken on legislative and regulatory issues at events throughout the Hudson Valley. Ms. Gordon has been a long-time supporter of Kids X-Press, Inc. and has given the organization a platform to grow in Westchester County.

Tony Sayegh is a political analyst and a FOX NEWS contributor. He serves as Executive Vice President of Jamestown Associates, a full service political consulting group. In addition to his role as a FOX NEWS contributor, Mr. Sayegh maintains an active media portfolio and currently serves as National Political Correspondent for Talk Radio News Service (TRNS), based in Washington D.C. and a Republican analyst at News12 Westchester, Cablevision’s news affiliate that covers Westchester County and the Hudson Valley of New York.

“We are pleased to be able to recognize our four honorees for their outstanding contributions to the community,” said Yuval Marcus, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Their own aspirations can be a testament to encouraging our children to believe that they can ‘touch the sky’ and follow their dreams as well. “
