FRI 7/3: Beth El Day Campers Return to New Rochelle Farmers Market
Farmers Market is OPEN on Friday, July 3rd, 8:30am-2:30pm. Location: North Ave, at Huguenot Park, in front of New Rochelle High School.
Tomorrow, Friday, July 3rd, the New Rochelle Farmers Market welcomes the return of our favorite local foodies: the campers of Beth El Day Camp! This year the crew of 8 and 9-year-olds includes both boys and girls A.K.A. the Stars and the Astros.
Every Friday, from now through August 14th, they will be at the market as Food Ambassadors. In this role, they’ll make a recipe from the market’s fresh produce and give out samples for all customers to try. Their 2015 debut brings one of the most delicious recipes of summer: Strawberry Shortcake!
Stop by 11:30 am-12:15 pm tomorrow and learn how to create your own Strawberry Shortcake from these very knowledgeable helpers. AND they’ll give out a free printed recipes cards to assist everyone in our own kitchen adventures.

Every week, from now through November 20th, the market features fresh fruits and vegetables from regional farmers. The farmers’ tables change as the seasons change. Right now, discover summer through strawberries, raspberries, cherries, red currants, cauliflower, leeks, snap peas, collard greens -- and that just the short list. You’ll also find delicious breads and baked goods from Meredith’s Country Bakery. They have a wonderful selection of gluten-free products, too. ENJOY. Happy July 4th Weekend!
