Carlo Riccobono writes that he has been doing family Christmas decorations for the past 55 years, a tradition that his late grandfather started and he has carried it on. And now his son Anthony has taken on the role each year helping out. The lights on Macri Avenue in West Harrison are on from 4:30 p.m. until 11 p.m. each night.

And finally, here’s a recommendation from the town of Southeast: Go see Morningthorpe Manor, the castle at 100 Turk Hill Rd. It was built by Seth B. Howes (1815-1901) who was a famous circus businessman. It is now the home of the Delancey Street Foundation, a residential self-help organization, which restored the rundown property in 1980 and outlines the house in lights at Christmas.
