Ground Broken for 3rd Phase of Heritage Homes in New Rochelle
The developer is based in Pelham.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - A groundbreaking ceremony was held recently for the third phase of a New Rochelle housing project.
Heritage Homes, an affordable housing development along Brook Street and Winthrop Avenue, is being built by MacQuesten Development LLC, in partnership with the New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority and New York State Homes and Community Renewal.

The groundbreaking was for the start of an additional 41 housing units at the site.
Prior to the groundbreaking, there was a ribbon-cutting ceremony heralding the completion of the project’s second phase of development: 56 affordable housing units.

Phase 1, which was completed in 2013, saw 131 units of affordable housing built at the site.
Heritage Homes replaced the Hartley Houses, which was a five-building, high-density public housing complex that was built in the 1940s.
The phased construction was designed to adverse impacts on the residents.
MacQuesten Development is based in Pelham.
