Guilty Plea In 2018 Killing Of Homeless Woman
Police said the woman's body was found in the driveway of the armory on Main Street in New Rochelle.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A homeless man who was accused of killing a homeless woman in July admitted his guilt Thursday in court. Westchester County District Attorney Anthony A. Scarpino Jr. said Jose F. Olmos, 29, of New Rochelle, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, a felony.
He is scheduled to be sentenced July 11, and faces a maximum of 25 years to life in state prison.
Scarpino said, in the early morning hours of July 27, Olmos stalked Nurten Seljuk, 66, in the area around 270 Main St. in New Rochelle.

Seljuk died from multiple blunt force trauma injuries and asphyxiation.
Her body was found later that morning in the driveway of the nearby armory.

New Rochelle police arrested Olmos July 28.
In November, a grand jury indicted Olmos on one count of first-degree murder and two counts of second-degree murder, felonies.
Authorities said neither Siljuk nor Olmos had a permanent address.
