Gun And Drug Arrests After Man Throws Bullets At Cops: NRPD
Police were called to a home on a report of a tenant acting erratically, but soon found indications of felony criminal behavior.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A report of a man acting erratically led to two arrests on felony weapon and drug charges.
On Tuesday, at about 2:30pm, New Rochelle police were called to a Lafayette Avenue home on a report of a tenant acting erratically. The first officers on the scene encountered the suspect who began to throw unfired bullets at the officers saying he was in possession of a gun.
The New Rochelle Police Critical Incident Unit and detectives responded to assist. Authorities said the suspect initially locked himself in his apartment, but officers were soon able to take him into custody.

A search of the apartment turned up a compact 9mm handgun as well as a substantial amount of suspected cocaine, police officials said. While conducting the search, a roommate of the suspect entered the apartment via a fire escape window and was also taken into custody.
Jose Albino-Henriquez, 33, was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon, felony possession of a controlled substance 2nd degree, felony possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree and 2 counts of misdemeanor criminal contempt.
