Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for Westchester
Wind chill values will approach zero or even below zero for most of the county Monday night and into Tuesday.

We wrote on Sunday that we were going to be hit with an arctic blast, which would produce the coldest weather of this winter season thus far.
And right on cue the National Weather Service has issued a “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for southern Westchester County for Monday and Tuesday because of the predicted bitterly cold temperatures and wind chill values.

Additionally, the latest forecast calls for a chance of rain for much of the county for the upcoming weekend.
Here is the National Weather Service advisory for the immediate Westchester coastline. The NWS states that temperatures will fall to about 11 degrees, producing wind chill values below zero late tonight and into Tuesday morning.

Detailed forecast via the National Weather Service:
Today: Partly sunny and brisk. Cooler with highs in the lower 30s. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows around 11. North winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Wind chill values as low as 3 below.
Tuesday: Sunny. Highs around 30. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Gusts up to 20 mph in the morning. Wind chill values as low as 3 below in the morning.
Tuesday Night: Clear. Lows around 16. Northwest winds around 5 mph.
Wednesday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s. West winds 5 to 10 mph.
Wednesday Night: Clear. Lows in the mid 20s.
Thursday: Sunny. Highs in the lower 40s.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 30s.
Friday: Partly sunny. Highs in the lower 40s.
Friday Night: Mostly cloudy with a 50 percent chance of rain. Lows in the upper 30s.
Saturday and Sunday: Chance of rain continues for both days in Westchester, with highs in the 40s.
