Hour-By-Hour: How The Hudson Valley Gets To 12"+ Of Snow
We tell you what you could expect Wednesday and Thursday as the second nor'easter affects the Hudson Valley since Friday.

HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Brace yourselves, Hudson Valley. A major snow event is on the way, and according to the most recent forecasts, the snow will begin between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 2 a.m. Wednesday, depending on where you are. The snow will develop from the west to the east.
Our friends at Hudson Valley Weather are looking at forecast models that could indicate that the extreme lower Hudson Valley might see slightly warmer temperatures, meaning a mix of rain. Of course, time will tell.

The forecast is calling for up to 15 inches in parts of the region, so be prepared. And during the afternoon Wednesday, snow fall rates could be 1 to 2 inches per hour.
There is also a Coastal Flood Advisory for areas along western Long Island Sound in effect from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. There could be tidal departures of 2-1/2 to 3-1/2 feet during times of high tide. Expect around 1 to 2 feet of inundation above ground level in low-lying, vulnerable areas and breaking waves of 2 to 4 feet, resulting in beach erosion.

Tuesday
- 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Cloudy, 35 degrees
Wednesday
- Midnight to 3 a.m.: Snow, 34 degrees
- 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.: Show showers, 33 degrees
- 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Snow, 33 degrees
- 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Snow, 32 degrees
- 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.: Snow, 32 degrees
- 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Snow/wind, 32 degrees
Thursday
- Midnight to 3 a.m.: Snow showers, 35 degrees
- 4 a.m. to 7 a.m.: Cloudy, 34 degrees
- 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Partly cloudy, 36 degrees
