Hundreds Attend New Rochelle School Board Meeting Citing Violence
Three stabbings in a little more than a week have the community concerned.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Hundreds of community members attended a New Rochelle school district board meeting Thursday in the wake of three violent incidences, resulting in one death, in a little more than one week. Among the comments made by people in the council chambers of New Rochelle City Hall were whether the recent stabbings were related to bullying and why high school students are allowed to leave the campus in the middle of the day, lohud.com said.
Some parents said they have no confidence in the district’s ability to keep their children safe in school, according to reporter Christoper J. Eberhart.
A third stabbing Thursday morning inside the high school forced the building into lockout. A 16-year-old was stabbed twice and a 15-year-old suspect was seen on video leaving the building.
