Latino-African American Shared History to Be Discussed Thursday
The event—part of Black History Month—will feature high school and college educators.

A panel of five local high school and college educators will explore the Afro-Latino continuum and its shared history of slavery throughout the Americas and the Caribbean at an event scheduled for 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11.
The event will take place at the Linda E. Kelly Theater at New Rochelle High School, which is located adjacent to the parking lot at the corner of North Avenue and Braemar.
A Q&A period with the audience will follow the presentations by the panelists.

Community members, middle and high school students and their parents are encouraged to attend this free panel discussion, which is one of the many events being held in the community to honor Black History Month.
