Mail Theft Suspects Had 'Several Hundred Thousand' In Stolen Checks
New Rochelle police said a report that two men were trying to gain access to a FedEx box led to a cache of stolen envelopes in an SUV.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle police are crediting a tip about two men apparently trying to steal from a FedEx box with helping to foil a suspected mail theft operation.
On Wednesday, shortly after 4:30 p.m., New Rochelle police responded to the area of 56 Harrison Street after a good Samaritan reported that two men were attempting to gain access to a FedEx mailing box.
