Monroe College Promotes Executive Vice President to President
Marc M. Jerome has been with the college for more than 22 years.
NEW ROCHELLE, NY — As of Jan. 1, Monroe College has a president.
The Board of Trustees announced that Marc M. Jerome, who previously served as executive vice president, was promoted to the top spot.
Jerome has been with the college, which has campuses in New Rochelle, the Bronx, Queens and the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, for more than 22 years, according to information on the college’s website.

As executive vice president, officials said he oversaw the growth of the college’s New Rochelle operations from 300 students to more than 3,000 last year.
He also presided over the development of its residence life program and facilities, the establishment of the King Graduate School and directed the successful launch of its athletics program, which now features nine sports.

Jerome practiced employment law in New York City before joining Monroe in 1994 as director of administration. He was promoted to vice president and director of the New Rochelle campus in 1996.
