New Rochelle Bar Association hosts Full New York Court of Appeals

On Tuesday, April 25, 2017, the New Rochelle Bar Association (“NRBA”) hosted its tenth annual Court of Appeals Dinner at the Fountainhead in New Rochelle. Because the Court was sitting in White Plains that week, the entire bench attended the dinner. NRBA President Jeffrey Levin commenced the dinner with a moment of silence for the late Honorable Sheila Abdus-Salaam, noted that Judge Abdus Salaam had been a friend of the NRBA for a long time, and reminded the attendees that she was the keynote speaker during the 2016 NRBA Court of Appeals dinner. Chief Judge Janet DiFiore noted the Court’s loss and thanked the NRBA and attendees for their warm reception. New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson briefly addressed the group, noting that this gathering was the greatest collection of judicial talent ever in New Rochelle’s history.
