New Rochelle Community Builds New Playground in 1 Day
The new facility was funded by a grant.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - More than 200 volunteers showed up before dawn Friday at Feeney Park to build a new playground—all in one day.
According to FIOS1News.com, the new facility has a slide, monkey bars, picnic tables and an outdoor classroom.

The playground was paid for by a grant from “Build It with KaBOOM!” Building a new playground was part of New Rochelle’s Master Plan, said Parks and Recreation Commissioner Bill Zimmermann.

Soon the playground will be used by more than 1,000 children, the video report said.
