New Rochelle Day of the Dead Exhibit Postponed
The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy causes the event to be postponed due to power outages.
The Day of the Dead (El Dia de los Muertos), sponsored by the New Rochelle Library, exhibiting the student’s artwork and performances has been rescheduled due to the power outages of Hurricane Sandy.
This event was supposed to take place at the New Rochelle High School Thursday, Nov. 1, and was postponed until further notice, according to the library's Community Relations Director Barbara Davis.
A new date for this event is unknown for now and will be posted as soon as it is confirmed with the high school.

The Day of the Dead event was part of the library's Big Read, the community-wide reading of Sun, Stone and Shadows: 20 Great Mexican Short Stories.
