New Rochelle Library Has A Packed Lineup Of Free Vacation Week Fun
The library will close 2 days for Presidents Day, but the week's performances include Zev Haber!, Sandbox Theatre and Robert the Guitar Guy!

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — If you were wondering how to keep your family entertained over the winter break, then look no further than the New Rochelle Public Library.
The main branch of the New Rochelle Public Library is offering an impressive variety of free programs for children during the upcoming school vacation break, from Feb. 21 through Feb. 24.
Tuesday, February 21

- 11:30 a.m. - noon, Baby Fingers: Stories, Songs & Signs will bring books to life through songs and American Sign Language. Children will learn the sign language ABCs and more through their favorite storybooks. Ages 0- 5 years.
- 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., children will be able to sing and dance with award-winning children's songwriter, recording artist and performer Zev Haber! Ages 2 - 5 years.
Wednesday, February 22
- 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m., children ages 2- 5 years will have fun frolicking in the forest with the wonderful posse of woodland puppets in the Walk in the Woods Puppet Show.
- 2 p.m. - 2:45 p.m., Sandbox Theatre presents Snow Biz! An overnight Nor'easter has dumped buckets of snow and it's everywhere! Join Professor Snow-It-All, the Zamboni Brothers, The Snow Angels, snowboarders, skiers, skaters, curlers, ice fishermen and more in this delightful and hilarious musical revue. Ages 3-9 years.
Thursday, February 23

- 10:30 a.m. - 11 a.m., Robert the Guitar Guy! will have kids marching, jumping and dancing along with a musical show that combines creative play and movement. Ages 2 to 5 years.
- 2 p.m. - 2:30 p.m., children will Meet the Animals with Greenburgh Nature Center and have the opportunity to interact with some of the Center’s furriest, feathered, bristled and scaly residents. Ages 2 to 5 years.

Friday, February 24
- 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m., children will have a flurry of fun designing their own winter wonderland in a jar in the Make-Your-Own Snow Globe program. Ages 4 to 12 years.
February Vacation Week programs and performances were made possible with support from the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library and the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District.
The library will be closed on Sunday, Feb. 19, and Monday, Feb. 20.
All programs take place at the New Rochelle Public Library, located at 1 Library Plaza, in New Rochelle. All programs are free, open to the public and are first come, first served.
