New Rochelle Man Faces Hundreds of Charges That He Made Death Threat Via Texts to Area Woman

A New Rochelle man is facing hundreds of charges — 162 counts each of violation of a protective order and second-degree harassment — after allegedly sending texts to a Greenwich CT woman that included a threat to kill her.

Greenwich Police arrested the 33-year-old man on April 9 after obtaining an arrest warrant that also charges him with one count of threatening.

Marcus E. Williams, of Sickles Avenue in New Rochelle, was arrested at the Westchester County Correctional Center, according to a police report. The report didn’t indicate why Williams was being held at the jail.

“There was an argument between the victim and the suspect. He harassed her. He made contact threatening to kill her in a series of texts in late February and early March, in violation of a protective order,” according to police spokesman Lt. Kraig Gray.

Williams is being held in lieu of $150,000 bond and is scheduled to return to state Superior Court in Stamford on May 19, according to the Connecticut Judicial Branch website.
