New Rochelle School Meeting On Safety To Be Live Streamed

The session will take place at the high school.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The meeting in New Rochelle to address school safety and security, being held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, will be live streamed on the school district’s website.

The meeting will give the public an opportunity to ask questions of local officials.

A school district spokesman said the following will be at the meeting: School Board President Rachel Relkin and members of the board, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Brian Osborne, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, City Manager Charles Strome III, Acting New Rochelle Police Commissioner Joseph Schaller and other school and city officials.

Relkin and Bramson will provide brief opening remarks. Relkin will outline steps the school district will take following recent events involving New Rochelle High School students, and Osborne will make a presentation on school safety. The public will then will have an opportunity to comment.

The live stream can be found at www.nred.org and will be visible at 7 p.m.

Organizers said Spanish translation services will be available.

The meeting will be held in the Whitney M. Young Jr. Auditorium, 265 Clove Rd. in New Rochelle.
