New Rochelle Schools Cancel Events Because Of Storm

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Because of an impending storm, all evening events and activities for the City School District of New Rochelle scheduled after 6 p.m. Wednesday have been canceled. The storm is expected to bring drenching rain and high winds.

A post on Facebook by Interim Superintendent Magda Parvey said, "We are taking this step for the safety of our students, faculty, families and community members, which is our top priority."

She said to look for re-scheduled times and date from school leaders for events that were canceled.
